This is the second real-world object I designed and created in Solidworks out of individual parts. The other normal table I designed didn't seem intricate enough. My model was the drafting tables in my drafting high school class. Besides some screws, support brackets, and the keyboard tray I attempted, I have every detail down. The doors are more functional then the real thing, and the parallel slides. Unfortunately, I had to make the parallel wire cosmetic. Like all of my recent drawings, I incorporated my Companion Cube "signature". This video is a little jumpy and sudden when I reorient the screen. I'm getting experienced though!

Very very busy time in my life over here. VIDEO! Meet the Agranda House. A Contemporary style build with an interesting fact. It uses parts of a lot I created over a year ago. The set of an old, ruined 1800's warehouse actually. I studied the lot for a few hours and then thought 'why not bring it back to life?'. I designed a nicely spaced-out lot, fitted according to the 'ruins' so that they compliment one another by means of shape, size and taste. The house is built on a 5x4 lot and is designed for Sims with an interest or career in the field of Architecture, hence the free drafting table in the study! An ideal home for a romantic couple too. Turn the lights off and the canldes on and voila, a perfect love setting. The house features 2 Bedrooms, 1 Study (can be converted into a 3rd bedroom), 2 bathrooms, a spacious Family room, Modern kitchen, simple yet lavish dining room, a large outdoor patio complete with an outdoor dining set and BBQ, a grand swimming pool with Contemporary covers and lush, minimal landscaping. Some of you know my landscaping can get a little wild, especially with my previous lots. I think I kept my limit fairly well with this piece! The song used in this video is 'DANCE' by Justice. The software is a version of a paint program called Studio Paint, developed by Alias Research (later Alias|Wavefront) in toronto Canada. The Active Desk was originally developed around 1992 at the University of Toronto, in conjunction with the Arnott Design Group of Toronto. this demo was shot in 1995 the the Research Group at Alias|Wavefront. One of the key points that ithis video makes is that to engineer the future tomorrow you have to have lived in it yesterday. Prototypes such as this are an example of doing so. The new Collaborate feature on the Architecture of Learning Drafting Table.

The ability to create Tables within a ProE Drawing can be critical to the accuracy of that drawing. Pro/ENGINEER has several techniques that can be used to create tables manually or automatically. This tutorial on ProE Drawing covers both methods of table creation. A Table can be used for different purposes in a ProE Drawing. They can show a Bill of Materials, indicate different sizes of the same component and specify drawing revisions. Once a table is created it can be saved to your hard drive and used again in the future. The table size and features can be manipulated as well as text and parameters added to the cells. A Repeat Region is feature that can be added to a table. This feature is defined by an area of the table that automatically changes in size to accommodate any changes that have been made to the current model. If a part is added to the current ProE Drawing assembly, the table will automatically add a row to the table in order to incorporate for the new component. The same process is executed when a component is removed from the current drawing assembly. The Repeat Region is controlled by report parameters to define the information that is being shown.
